Hey there, I'm Shalini!

II'm a Technical Product Manager by day, a supply chain geek by passion, and a storyteller at heart. Right now, I’m making waves (or at least trying not to sink) as a Senior Technical Product Manager at Amazon US, working on Amazon Business Delivery Tech. In simple terms? I help business customers get their palletized deliveries smoothly, whether it’s through our first-party (1P) or third-party (3P) carriers. Before Amazon, I spent three amazing years at Walmart US, innovating in supply chain automation and first/middle-mile logistics—yep, the not-so-glamorous but super-important stuff that keeps products moving!

Some of My Proudest Moments at Walmart:

🚛 Rolling out digital bills (eDocs) so drivers could hit the road without waiting for paper documents (because who even likes paperwork?). But let me tell you—this was no small feat. It took moving mountains (and maybe some bribing with coffee) to align all the moving pieces and make it happen. But in the end? Totally worth it. It streamlined operations, cut down delays, and kept us fully compliant with FMCSA and DOT regulations. And to top it all off, I was honored with the "Making a Difference Award" for my work.

📱 Launching Walmart’s NTransit app on Google Play & Apple App Store—proud to be one of the very few product managers (you can literally count us on one hand!) who have launched a mobile app for Walmart.

These milestones were incredibly rewarding, but my journey didn’t start at Walmart or Amazon.

Before stepping into the world of big tech and retail, I honed my product and analytics skills at Tango Analytics, a SaaS-based company. But long before that, I was deep in the trenches of supply chain and logistics, running operations in my family’s business for 6+ years. That’s where I learned firsthand what it takes to move things (literally and figuratively!) and gained a deep appreciation for the complexity (and chaos!) of logistics.

The Leap to the U.S.

In 2017, I took a leap—moving to the U.S. as a mom to a very curious 4-year-old to pursue my Master's in Engineering Management at Southern Methodist University (Dallas, TX). Juggling coursework, family, child care, and working as a research assistant, life wasn’t easy—but it was worth it. Every challenge along the way shaped me into the product leader I am today.

But life isn’t all about work, right? When I’m off-duty, I love going on road trips with my family—my husband, our son, and, of course, our cute golden retriever (did I mention I have one?).

My mission is twofold—to build seamless, impactful products that make customers’ lives easier and to empower others through mentorship, speaking, and writing.

I truly believe in the saying, "Teach a man to fish, and you'll feed him for a lifetime." My goal is to equip aspiring product managers and professionals with the knowledge, confidence, and tools they need to navigate their own career journeys and build something meaningful.
